Does anyone know the title of this book…?
So, I know this is really weird. But there is a book I remember reading in elementary school that I just can’t find the title to.
Here’s what I remember:

The book was about this woman and her husband. He was a fisherman, and one night he was out in this boat and found a baby tangled up in sea weed and stuff, so he rescued her and took her home to his wife and they decided to adopt her. Anyway, when he let his wife hold her, they randomly decided to try to breat feed her (even though the woman wasn’t pregnant or anything) and it worked, out of nowhere, like "magic" or something.
Anyway, I remember that on the front cover there was a picture of a girl, sitting with a seal on a big rock in the middle of the ocean. I think it was raining or something.
And I know it had a lot to do with seals, and that the girl really belonged at sea or something like that…
Sorry, I know that these are really random details but, I was just wondering if anyone knew what this book was called?

A Great Dane’s don’t naturally stand up; they have to be clipped by the vet for the ears to stand up. I have worked at a large pet hotel/doggie daycare for the past 3 years where I have seen a large number of Great Danes come in with either pointy or floppy ears.

Emergency Trip To Chicago?
Hey guys!

So I have a question.

One of my VERY good friends is moving back home to Texas from Chicago in a couple of weeks. She called me the other day and wanted to know if I would be willing to fly up to Chicago help her move some stuff, then UHAUL it back down to the Lone Start State.

She’s offered to pay for the ticket (which she booked today), pay for the UHAUL, pay for food, pay for a motel (just in case we get tired), drive me all the way home from after we unload the stuff at her parents house.

Now, I am poor but not that damn poor. She offered to pay me well to help her move. She’s desperate to get the hell out of Illinois and come back due to personal reasons. I am willing to help her which is no big deal. I requested off from work.

The question is: should I take her up on all of her offers? I don’t want to seem needy and I am helping her out. But I am really poor and use a few extra bucks and I don’t mind shelling out for the gas and a meal here and there.

How can I go on this trip and not seem needy or selfish? I don’t want to seem greedy and what not. She says money is not a problem for her but once she gets home it’s back to looking for another job. . . any ideas?

P.S. She’s even driving me back home which is two hours out of her way when we get back to TX. I mean wow! . . . I feel kinda like a user even if she offers.

Sounds like it is not as much for the move that she needs your help as the emotional support. I get the impression she has a lot going on in her life right now and really needs a good friend to talk to about it… and figures you two WILL be talking the entire way down. She probably is offering to pay all that because she knows it will be taking you out of your way and you will be losing money by coming to help her but she is that desperate to have a close friend and confidant with her.
If you want, it would be helpful for you to offer to pay for some meals and help with gas a little bit. I don’t think she would mind all that much. Tell her you want to fund a ‘night out’ on the way down because how often in your life will you be able to ‘Bob and Louise’ it?? That might help off-set the concern you feel about ‘taking her for a ride’.

I know this man, he used to be my teacher at university (though he is only three years older!): He treated me exceptionally different than the rest of students, he gave me his personal number, email etc, he would even help and edit any resume I sent to jobs! My hair is like hers, and I just use loopy by schwarzkopf, and a diffuser. I think any product for curly/wavy hair scrunched through towel dried hair, a bit of volumising spray around the roots, and then blow dry with a diffuser. You can then finish with a light weight serum to get rid of frizz.

Have you tried getting a letter from your Uncle giving you the pistol with the make, model and serial number on the note. You might also want a gun dealer to verify the information and see if they need to hold if for you until you get it registered. Then take it your note to the gun registration office and see if there is any other infomation they might need to put it on your license. It may cost you a few dollars for the gun dealer to hold your pistol but this should satisfy the legal possetion until you have it put on your license.

Camilla Rose and Julia Noelle are both beautiful. They both flow so nicely!
